APARAJITA or THE BUTTERFLY PEA ITS MYTHOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE

APARAJITA or THE BUTTERFLY PEA ITS MYTHOLOGICAL IMPORTANCE

Aparajita, the flower worn by the Gods and the Goddesses, is as magical and enchanting as the cosmic galaxy itself for its transcendent features. Aparajita, which is also known as ‘THE BUTTERFLY PEA’ scientifically known as Clitoria ternatea, commonly known as Asian pigeonwings. Also called by the name of bluebellvine, blue pea, butterfly pea, cordofan pea, or Darwin pea is a plant species belonging to the family Fabaceae, endemic and native to the Indonesian island of Ternate. The genre name Clitoria is a direct translation from the local name of these plants in the Ternate language, which is

called Telang, the first reference to the genus, which includes an illustration of the plant, was made in 1678 by Jakób Breyne, a Polish naturalist, who described it as Flos clitoridis ternatensibus, meaning 'Ternatean flower of the clitoris'. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the species name is derived from the name of the island where these Linnaeus specimens originated, which is Ternate Island located in the northern part of the Maluku Islands.

‘THE BUTTERFLY PEA’ is liked by both Shani dev and Lord Vishnu for its Bluish hue radiance. And, also for its ravishing bloom which entrances people’s minds.

Aparajita, the flower which has been embellished by the gods and the Goddesses, not just has religious values but a deep connection to mankind’s financial prosperity as well.

If one can take all the right measures and worship Narayan, Goddess Lakshmi, and Shani dev with Aparajita, the Tri dev-devis grace falls upon the family and remains, and any crisis related to money averts.

Some people can earn adequately but are unable to maintain their keep even after every possible effort. There is a remedy depicted in the ‘Shastra’. if one takes 5 aparajita flowers, which are known as Asian Pigeonwings as well and throws them in running water, the money-draining problem will be solved.

One can offer Aparajita flowers by offering to Shivling on Monday and, also on Saturday to strengthen the position of Saturn in their horoscope and will never suffer from the shortage of money. On Tuesdays, if the Asian pigeonwings are offered to the feet of Lord Hanuman, and after the prayer is done, if the Aparajita flowers are kept in your vault where you keep your wealth, it will be prosperous again in a matter of time.

Just the name ‘Aparajita’ has its own meaning, which can be seen derived from the word “Aparajeo” which means ‘undefeated’ and is used to depict the ‘unconquered’ Goddess Aparajita, who is one among the numerous forms of Goddess Durga. In this form, she is worshipped on Dasara or Vijaya Dashami to win the battles of life.

The legend says that in the Aparajita form, Mother Goddess vanquished all asuras who were practicing Adharma. She protected those who were following dharma.

Thus, the flower Aparajita sure has its auspicious values and its relation to the core ‘HINDUTWA’ to broader the lively aspect of our lives to nature and nurture as well.
