Kathak is a means to allow the great expressive ability of storytelling

The name kathak evokes a happy response from most people, they would associate it with grace, beauty, elegance, and highly expressive. Of the six major Indian classical dance formats, Kathak is basically from the northern parts of India. It is said that this dance form was brought about by a desire for people to convey stories from religious scriptures and make it easy for the masses to assimilate. The enchanting and rich tales of Indian epics such as the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and other such epics found in kathak are the means to reach people easily. The dance move of kathak was used more for storytelling rather than being dance moves as such.

The name kathak too is derived from the Hindi word Katha which means Story and the one doing the storytelling is often referred to as a Kathak. Specific movements of legs and hands along with unique facial expressions were used to convey a storyline to the audience. While in the olden days this dance form was prevalent in nearly all parts of Northern India it presently finds acceptance in three places namely Benares, Jaipur, and Lucknow. In fact, kathak dance is called by the names of the places they belong to as being Benares Gharana of Lucknow Gharana, etc. One very important aspect of the Kathak dance form is that it was one that is filled with vibrant energetic movement. further, there is a whole lot of interaction between the performer and the audience and the entire performance is quite interactive.

The fragrance of Kathak will bring this positive and expressive feeling to you

With exactly these inputs the fragrance designers at Mayasmatic were asked to come up with a fancy fragrance that had the qualities of Kathak.  Professionals as they were, they soon came up with a unique creation that had a base note of Amber and some floral and fancy top notes. The smell of kathak wafting through the ambiance of your room will give your thought process a fillip. Here was a positive scent that had the warmth of amber which faded to allow a few fancy floral notes to hit your nose and make you feel the power of positivity coursing through the rooms.  The smell of Kathak certainly gives the room an air of positivity and clears any facet of negativity there.

Right from inception, Mayasmatic has always labored to create exceptional fragrances for a range of agarbattis that stand a class apart in the marketplace. Care is taken in sourcing resins, charcoal, and fragrance compounds along with the best quality bamboo sticks to ensure the final product is more than what customers expect. At Astami online store you can find a range of products that are created in our quest for product excellence, not just in Agarbattis, but in Camphor Tablets, Damar Battu derivatives, and a shot of other things as well. If you’re looking for an incense stick that has an expressive fragrance, go ahead, and buy a pack of Kathak and keep coming back for more.
